Library Cat Facts!

Did you know...

That we moved the outside book drop back to its original location? It's back outside the front door, facing the firehouse.

That while we can't have our own library cat, we have a cat calendar? Come up to the circulation desk and ask to see the daily cat!

That we have a whole section of travel books? Find them in the non-fiction section starting under the call number 914!

That you can find out how much using the library saves you each year? Figure out here!
Updates
Put this on your calendar!
In April we're having a fundraiser event at Paintbrushes and Party - where you'll be provided with the supplies (and snacks) to create a finished, framed piece of artwork. That will take place on April 5th from 7pm - 9:30pm at Paintbrushes and Party in the Apple Valley Shopping Center.

But it doesn't stop there! The art you create will be hung up in the library for the month of April, and on April 9th at 6pm the library will be holding an opening reception for the art show. Participants may pick up their work at the end of April.

The event costs $55 per person, and includes all supplies as well as a complementary beverage.

The last day to register for the event is February 28th.
Come to our Potluck!

All ages are welcome!

Canine Book Nook
Reading to dogs can boost reading skills and self-confidence in children as well as help with emotional and social skills. Many children are self-conscious and hesitant when reading out loud, but when they read stories to a dog they are less stressed and actually find it enjoyable! Joan O'Neill, a volunteer with Therapy Dogs International along with Lucy, her canine reading partner, are available for 15 minute reading sessions in the Children's Room. Lucy is a good listener! So bring along your favorite book and share a story with a furry friend.

This month Lucy is coming on Febrary 8th & 22nd, which are the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
