The Friends of the LaGrange Library, formed in June 1986, is a volunteer group which raises funds to supplement the library's offerings. These include such things as: children's programs, senior programs, library furnishings, book collections and multi-media materials and equipment. The Friends also sponsor educational programs for the community and periodic book sales, as well as other fundraising events.

The Friends meetings are held monthly and open to the public.
